    More than 65% of the Pakistani population is under 35. That's why it is especially important to engage youth in any effort toward lasting change. On our 2016 UPIC trip to Pakistan we visited with Shanzae Asif, a former student at the Lahore University of Management Sciences who interned at Intersections. Shanzae has been the catalyst for two editorial boards in Pakistan, one in Karachi and one in Lahore.

    Christians are a religious minority in Pakistan with an estimated 2.5 million adherents. The Prayer Tower Ministry in the Katchi Abadi F9 slum in Islamabad, is an independent Pentecostal community. UPIC delegates visited the marginalized community as part of their February 2016 visit to Pakistan. Here the congregation sings Psalm 94 in the Punjabi language.

    Police and officials in Montclair discuss the benefits of the Insight approach training they receive through Intersections’s Police/Community Enrichment Training initiative. Jamie Price of the Sargent Shriver Peace Institute explains, “The purpose is to help officers learn to be curious about the people they encounter... Police officers tend to be seen as a threat... We are helping them recognize the dynamics of that.”
